For research from March to April, 10,000 clients from 47 countries were surveyed. The results showed that 89% of respondents perfectly understand what digital currency is, and 53% have bought cryptocurrency at least once in the last 12 months..
Among those who purchased virtual currency, — 21% used credit cards, 36% used debit cards and 43% used other payment methods. 60% of those who refrained from buying cited risk as the main reason, 35% — due to lack of funds, and 5% think it is illegal.
At the same time, in total, Unionpay, Visa and Mastercard cards make up 80% of their total number..
However, due to market volatility, some American and European banks prohibit their customers from using credit cards to buy cryptocurrencies, and Visa has ended its relationship with several card providers..
